Implantable Cardiac Defibrillator (ICD)

Implantable Cardiac Defibrillators (ICDs) are used to treat heart conditions related to tachycardia where the patient's heart is beating rapidly. When the system detects a rapid heart beat, it “shocks” the heart back into a normal rhythm.

Accellent offers a comprehensive suite of capabilities to design, develop and manufacture components and assemblies for ICD leads, implantable pulse generators (IPGs) and ancillary support devices used during implantation procedures.

Accellent's capabilities include molded headers, connector blocks, feedthrough wires, conductor materials such as coils and cables, shocking coils, machined lead components, over-molded connector assemblies and various other assemblies.

The Company's vertical integration allows our customers to realize increased speed to market and rapid return on investment.
