Wire Braiding

Braiding is the interweaving of filaments—typically stainless steel—to form an interlocking reinforcement for polymer tubing. This process helps meet performance requirements such as high torque, high push, kink response, and related requirements that can only be attained with reinforced polymer tubing. Other fibers and materials such as NiTi, tungsten, and monofilaments can also be used in the braiding process.
