Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM)
Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) is an erosion process that allows machining of intricate shapes with close tolerances that are burr-free. EDM uses a rapid series of repetitive electrical discharges, while eroded particles are flushed away with a continuous flow of dielectric fluid.
Accellent has embraced EDM technology since its introduction to the machining industry and is adept at producing very complex geometries in extremely small sizes—many with profiles only visible with magnification. Accellent is a leader in driving innovative EDM solutions to the most difficult product design challenges.
