Finite element analysis is a mathematical technique that analyzes stress by breaking down a physical structure into substructures called finite elements. Finite elements and their interrelationships are converted into equation form and solved mathematically in problems where analytical solutions are not easily obtained due to complex geometries, loadings and material properties.
